This profile is to check the levels of Prostate Specific
Antigen (PSA). A high PSA can sometimes indicate
problems (including prostate cancer) with the prostate
gland.
Please note that a PSA test cannot be relied on to
either diagnose prostate cancer - or exclude the
presence of prostate cancer. If it is high then you will
need further investigations with a Urologist. If you
have symptoms and it is low you will still need to see
a doctor to consider further investigations.
